Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026

Job Hunter helps a person manage their own job search. This policy explains what the application reads, what it stores, and how to revoke access.

Who runs it

Job Hunter is operated by Xelsus.ai. Contact: fmir86@gmail.com.

What the application accesses

With your explicit consent, Job Hunter requests these Google permissions:

The application only queries messages from job-alert senders: LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Get on Board, We Work Remotely, Wellfound, Remote OK and Welcome to the Jungle. That query is fixed in the source code and is displayed in the application before you connect. Google does not offer a per-sender permission, so this restriction is enforced by the application itself.

Job Hunter never sends, deletes, labels or modifies anything in your mailbox. Access is read-only.

What it stores

Message bodies are parsed to extract those fields and are not retained. Email from any other sender is never read, stored or processed.

Where it is stored

Job Hunter runs locally. Data lives in a database file on the computer where the application is installed. There is no central server collecting user mailboxes.

Limited Use

Job Hunter's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, data obtained from Gmail is:

Third parties

Job postings are also collected from public job board APIs. Those requests contain search terms, never your personal data. If you enable AI-assisted scoring, the posting text and the profile you wrote are sent to the AI provider you configure, under your own account; your email content is not sent.

Revoking access and deleting data

Status and liability

Job Hunter is in development and is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Xelsus.ai accepts no liability for loss or damage arising from its use. See the terms of use on the home page.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes affecting what is read or stored will be shown in the application before they take effect.
